Childbirth Education

Childbirth presents a unique and powerful opportunity for personal growth that can forever change a woman's self perception.
(Childbirth Education practice, research & theory, 2nd edition)

Private/Group Childbirth Education classes are available in Erie, MI and I also travel locally to bring personalized education to you!

Childbirth Classes are great for anyone considering a birth center, hospital, or home birth.

You are welcome to start childbirth education classes at any time in your pregnancy.  A typical series consists of 6 classes, which can be done weekly or bi-weekly. All of my students are welcome to a complementary postpartum visit from me.  This is a wonderful opportunity to ask questions about yourself and recovery, your newborn, breastfeeding, bonding, etc.

I am a double-certified, independent instructor (I work for you!)  - because of this I can.freely answer questions, provide information on any topic, and personalize my classes in a way that other instructors are not always permitted to do.

I do not teach one specific technique for childbirth.  Instead, I offer a more eclectic alternative consisting of different techniques an expectant couple can use during labor and birth.  Handouts are always provided and you are welcome to take these to the hospital, if needed.

I am available to my students all the time to answer questions, by phone or e-mail, during pregnancy and beyond.

Because I am an independent instructor I always tailor my classes to focus on the needs of my students.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the following topics below:

  • Birth today

  • Technocratic and Holistic models of birth and how they apply to us and our birthing environment
