About Us

Welcome to my latest project!  I completely embrace and enjoy my role within my home.  That being, of course, keeper of our home!  I love finding new ways to do things myself instead of relying on other people to do or make them for me.  I also love to share what I know to help others create a healthier, self sufficient lifestyle within their own homes.  Because we are still quite new on this path (only a few years now!), I'm sure there is a TON I can still change.  I'm learning every day!  I'm excited to teach my children how to take care of a home with their bare hands, and not rely on a bunch of machines or convenience items.  I hope this website can help you in some way.  I do this site in my 'spare' time, so I may not be able to update it very often.

A little about my family.  I am married.  We've been together since 2002 and were married in 2005.  We have three kids my oldest born in 2004, next in 2005 and then 2007.  We currently live in a cute duplex in the country in Monroe County, MI.

I enjoy learning about nutrition from a traditional and whole foods approach.  I enjoy learning about children's nutritional needs and how the food they eat affects them.  I also love learning about herbal remedies, home cooking, country living, self sufficiency, organizing, home making, parenting and all of the things that go along with being a mother and wife.  Most importantly, however, is my ever-increasing thirst for the Lord and all His words.  First and foremost I want to be a good example of how God would want me to live my life, for my husband, children, and anyone else I meet.  I want to be able to tell people about our Savior and help them on their path to Him.  I enjoy the freedom salvation brings and pray that the Lords will continually be done in my life and that we are constantly staying on His path.  That is one reason for this website, I pray this will be a blessing for everyone.
